Paul Amitai is an artist, curator, and producer working at the intersection of art and creative technology.
He is currently project manager and creative consultant for the Made in NY Media Center (opening July 2013) and project director of Computational Fashion and Open(Art) in collaboration with Mozilla and Eyebeam. He was also recently the visual art curator for the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival.
Paul previously served as Lecturer in Sound Design and Course Leader of the Creative Direction program at London College of Fashion, Senior Curator at Eyebeam, founder and curator of the New York Festival of Electronic Composers and Improvisers, and curator-producer of work presented at Performa 09, ZERO1 Biennial, and FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology).
He has written on media art, film, music, technology and culture for New Art Examiner, Signal to Noise, MTV and The Onion. As an artist and musician, he has exhibited and performed in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East, released numerous albums and shared the stage with legends such as Run-DMC and The Specials.
Paul recently completed a book, In Between States, series of music videos and full-length album, Luminent Sky. Read Less
