Paula Lobo is a photographer-researcher, who uses art and documentary to capture bodies in movement.

Originally from Brazil, she decided to move to New York in 2009 to pursue the dream of becoming one of those successful-smiley-annoying people that do what they love for living. In less then two years she had photos exhibitions in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, featured her work for Parsons Dance at the Joyce Theater entrance, Time Out, AM New York, New York Magazine, and published images at Wall Street Online, Daily Single, and many others on line publications in US and magazines in Brazil.

Paula has an extensive experience in communication arts, worked on the creative advertising field for 7 years, in fashion and beauty photography for 2 years and has been a movement explorer since 2009. She is currently researching for a global project, "Nexus Dance" which mix photography, documentary, dance and travel around the world.

Her photography captures movement in a very intimate way, showing hidden moments, flying bodies, strong impressions of physical movements and live emotions.

A travel, humor, chocolate, wine and french food lover, Paula currently lives in Williamsburg and wish she could meet Baryshnikov on the streets of New York again. And again.
