Derek has honed his creative skills from 14 years of experience. He started his career in London working at the Financial Times, then moved agency side to Fresh and Mediator Communications before a period of freelancing. Following a move to the South West, Derek was employed by Peter Gabriel at his Wiltshire studio designing for his world music label Real World and Womad festivals.
Since setting up Graphic Design studio Patwa in 2005 Derek has worked on a broad range of creative for Shambala Festival, AKG Images, Sustrans, Watershed Media Centre, Community Resolve, Cheltenham Festival, Arnolfini, Clare Teal, Ebook Library (EBL), NHS, Coexist, Alastair Sawdays, Fragile Earth, Bristol Race Forum, Inspired Times and WHSmith.
