Daryl van Wouw

In 2003 Daryl van Wouw graduates from the Academy of Art in Arnhem. In that very same year he receives a Robijn Fashion Award nomination for his graduate collection. Prior to his first recognition Daryl interns for Donna Karan in New York, Mart Visser and Zero of Maria Cornejo. In 2004 he follows a post academic course at the Fashion Insitute of Arnhem. Daryl shows his collection during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week and in September 2005 he presents his SS06 collection to the international press at the New York Fashion Week. Besides the women’s line, the AW 06-07 collection consists of his debut men’s line, a collaboration with Suit Supply. Due to his striking combination of streetwear and couture Daryl is often referred as ‘the street-couture designer’.
