I don't get a chance to do pieces that have a religious flavor all that often. Our brainstorming session for this one lasted about 5 minutes. Once I heard the scripture that the Bishop wanted to use I immediately had this image pop into my head. I pitched it to my boss (without a sketch) and he said, "let's see it." So, I went home and hit it pretty fast with illustrator and photoshop for a few hours and this is what I came up with for the poster. I liked it because it was simple and there was this strange, mystical feeling I got from the image of Christ cast the net into the air, almost sending the fish out as messengers.

Once the poster was approved I moved forward with a brochure design that used the elemets I created for the poster.

Once the piece was printed I got a phone call fromt the Bishop who said that he felt like this service appeal package's design was spiritually inspired. I was a very nice compliment to get.
