Oran Parker  //  Mardi Gras Billboard
Project ToolsProject Info
This is the first time we have done this particular billboard. The client wanted something different from what they had done before. I pitched the idea of doing an "elements of Mardi Gras" design that would not require new photography, nor would it use any old photography. After I took some quick photos of Mardi Gras items I broke out the sketch book and started working out my composition.

I wanted to do some type of custom lettering for the Mardi Gras message. I used the shapes of the existing elements to craft the letters. I like the way that the type seems to be born right out of the graphics. It helped create some harmony in the piece. This is currently proofed out to the client. We haven't had any feedback yet so there is the possibility that this piece may still evolve.
