This was a fun piece I did a couple of years ago. It's rare these days that I get a chance to do any custom illustration. This piece called for it and my boss thought the idea was solid. Most of the homes in Lake Charles, Louisiana were covered with blue tarps after hurricane Rita rolled in and wiped the roofs out. This Christmas card cover shows Santa out delivering the familiar blue tarps to wind damaged homes. This piece captures a small piece of southwest Louisiana history and I'm happy that I got to work on it. Oh...it also won a silver Addy that same year.
