The name of Opey Bobo started in August of 1988. When a young baby boy entered the world, the father insisted on naming the child Opey, after his favorite character on the "Andy Griffith Show." Upon his request, the mother smiled and said it would be fine under one condition, the child's middle name would be her maiden name: Bobo. The father smiled and said, "I think we will go with Corey Thomas." 23 years later, Opey Bobo got a second chance and become the inspiration behind the design and artwork of Corey Batchelor.
Opey Bobo is a small design studio, created by Corey Batchelor. Corey is an illustration specialist, with a background in fine art and graphic design. He has been illustrating for over 10 years, and has worked with big names such as the AFL, Cartoon Network, Hasboro, MGM Studios, the NCAA & US Olympic teams. His inspiration for illustration and design comes from classic horror, fantasy stories, and anything vintage.
