Life's accomplishments in my mid 20's can hardly be called seasoned by older peers who look at our career choice in just a year, two or five of knowing us. Regardless of any vanity issues, it's the compliments of our peers, our family and friends and mentors that allow us to have Look Marks placed along our journey. The compliments of our personality and talents or lack of one propels us forward.
What sets you up to inspire you to make your life's choices? Did I play with moveable objects, including whatever was in my cereal bowl, to illustrate a design thought? Did I constantly have creative thoughts coursing from a previous life or an influence perhaps from the weatherman on TV playing with his weather maps? One of my Look Marks today is my passion for colors in my designs. Was that the reason that on occasion I would have a hissy fit when anything other than Fruity Pebbles was placed in my cereal bowl?
Today when I'm asked what it is that I do, I have my elevator speech tailored to fit the encounter. Clearing of my throat for effect, I announce my name and that I'm Thai who was born and raised in northern Thailand. In 2001 I moved to Copenhagen, Denmark. If their eyes still sparkle, I dazzle them about how I'm a multidisciplinary interactive graphic design Thai with a huge passion for design, human behavior and technology.
Should they respond that they know somebody that designs greeting cards too, I assure them that I'm a graduate Media Graphic Designer from the Copenhagen Technical School and I proudly add that I took my BA in the interactive design field at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (Mediehøjskolen), the former graphic arts institute of Denmark.
Sharing my passions is as easy as doing a search on my name or on my many samples of my design works. The occasional photograph of myself around the web elicits remarks about my personality. Am I happy like that all the time or am I a master of the arts? I even was asked if I ever joined a Buddy Holly look alike contest.
I have my challenging days, such as not finding Fruity Pebbles in my cereal bowl, things like that but overall I am exuberant in what I love to do best and that is to always challenge myself and to excel in the latest developments in our techno world.
As an Interactive Designer, I’m primarily a designer with a fine tuned focus on the digital platform. This digital platform can include today's web, mobile applications and future technologies yet to come. My areas of expertise (in my own words) include traditional print work, illustration, graphic design, web design, app design, interface design, data-visualizations and Motion Graphics.
As you can tell, technology fascinates me. I love to know what is new, what is around, what is going to be the future. Currently I'm exploring the interaction of objects, people, technology and art using a mix of digital and analog materials.
I have always been self motivated to push myself to learn, study and share. Doing my best in this ever expanding field and to not only achieve its rewards but to leave the rewards of my breakthroughs will ultimately please me the most.
I’m ready to take on new projects, including never done before challenging projects. If you need a couple of extra-hands or have an interesting project, please get in touch with me, even if it's a digital greeting card design. I'm building my Look Marks, those looking back memories at my milestone markers as I travel this exciting journey. Read Less
