I dream
Sometimes I dream that I'm inside InDesign and am moving letterforms around with my hands, picking them up, placing them down.

I think it's going to be a great tool for me. In my cubicle job, I'm 1 of 2 designers in an in-house marketing dept., and we don't really have an art director, although our VP likes to say things like "I don't like it at all." Helpful, right? So getting feedback on my work would be great. And in my freelance work, there's me and my BF, who's also my biz partner. He can give me feedback on what he thinks is working and what's not, but I don't get that crucial "It's nice, but do this, that, or the other and it will be better."

I'd be very interested in collaboration opportunities, particularly if anyone's got any long-format docs they'd like production help on. I'll have to keep my eye out.

I'm actually not sure how I came across Behance, I think I actually found it by finding their cool Action notebooks, and then started exploring.

By the way, do you belong to any of the local trade organizations or guilds? I've been thinking of joining AIGA, but not sure what I'll actually get out of it, as my mission is geared more towards the average joe and than the black turtleneck crowd.

Yeah, I'd suggest spending some time poking around the Network.

It's helping creative professionals display/disseminate their work efficiently. With my work, I've found a need for a tight creative community like Behance, and their value for good tools and design is a great asset.

There are a number of different uses for Circles, some more obvious than others. I use them to get feedback on my work and to connect with others for collaboration opportunities.

Just out of curiosity, how did you find it - were you invited by someone else here in Austin?

Looking forward to seeing some of your work. Keep in touch.

That is freaky! My lucky number is 13, so it made sense for my business to be Number 13 Design. Hopefully I bring some of that luck to my clients, which seems to have worked so far.

I've got to get with the program here on Behance and put up some work and such. What's the story with the "inner circle"? What do we do there?

Interesting things going on:

1) I'm from Austin, your from Austin
2) Both of our numbers are 13
(mine b/c of a Friday the 13th birthday)
3) Your name is Paula and I'm Paul....

Freaky.
