My name is Nina Raimann and currently I am in Vancouver, Canada where I'm finishing up my 4th (last) year of Communication Graphic Design program. I was raised with a belief that an investment in knowledge pays the best interest, so 4 years ago I've packed my suitcases, I left my home country, Croatia, and flew around 16.300 km (aprox. 6300 miles) in a pursuit for knowledge and higher education.
I have been always eager to learn and accept new challenges, as it simply gives me joy and pleasure, and it helps me to grow not only as a designer but as an individual as well. During these 4 years I have grown, I have explored, I have been inspired, I have created and I have learned to open my eyes and my mind to everything that surrounds me. My education has been as an aperitif, a drink taken before the meal to stimulate you appetite. As a result, today, I am even hungrier for knowledge, new experiences, new accountancies and friendships, new challenges, and new skills. Simply put, I am eager and excited to exploit and developed further my design abilities in the real world. Read Less

I am not sure if it was my first creative memory but it is definitely my favorite one and the one that I can recall most vividly in my mind. It all happened on the toilet. I was around three years old and I was siting on the toilet in our small bathroom back home in Rijeka. I remember feeling bored and thinking how dull our bathroom is. It was simply lacking something. Suddenly I remembered that I had a pencil in my pocket. I took out my pencil and thought to myself: what could I do? As I was still sitting on the toilette and was not about to get up, the closest thing to my reach was the tiling groat. It was just so plain, so white and so equal in the whole bathroom that I have decided to make it as black as I can with my pencil. I did as much as I could reach, which had consisted of a small part on of the wall on my left and a bit of grouting on the floor. After I was done I was so pleased with myself, but needless to say my Mom got very upset. This was not my first scribbling 'accident' as my hand with a pen in it has always seemed to find a surface on which to leave a trace. Finally, my parents decided to leave me one wall for my creative expressions. Read Less
