You just need to re-read my full name, Sally Fenaux Barleycorn, to get the very international and multicultural background in which I grew up, studied and still work in nowadays.
I started working professionally in international productions of film, TV and commercials in 2005 after several young years of learning and experimenting with photography, graphic design, theatre, dance, curating, editorial, video and film. As a young creative, I was desperate to find MY THING but when I was still jumping from one discipline to another my father use to say to me: “Every experience that you have, everything that you learn, will make you better at whatever it is that you decide to do at the end.” And he was right.
All my experiences enable me now to have more tools and a much wider variety of references when developing ideas or finding visual solutions than I would have if I'd follow the straight path. My path was different, so am I and it is my work.
