I have 12+ years of experience in Interactive Design and Animation and 3+ years of teaching. Shortly after completing a diploma in Visual Communication at Medicine Hat College, I received a great opportunity in working with the Trailer Park Boys TV series in Halifax. I then spent four years at the Banff Centre for the Arts as an Interactive Consultant, as well as a Lead Designer for the online digital arts and culture magazine, Horizon Zero. Since then, I've worked with clients such as CBC, Brent Butt, Omni TV, Tribal DDB, The Red Agency and NFB (to name a few).

From 2008-10, I was Art Director at Switch United where I co-created interactive installations for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. "The Curious Tree" was exhibited in the BC Pavilion and "The Digital Gateway" is permanently installed in Robson Square in Vancouver. In 2010, I was awarded Best Designer at the Canadian New Media Awards primarily because of my work with Switch United.

I've recently just completed a Masters Degree at Emily Carr University of Art + Design where I received the Governor General's Gold Medal for academic excellence. Today, I'm currently teaching full-time as a Senior Instructor at Vancouver Film School while freelancing on the side in animation, illustration and design. On top of that, I continue to produce and exhibit work internationally.

In my 2 years at Emily Carr, I focused my research on a longtime fascination with mythological hybrid characters. Through an interactive installation, In the Caves of Mt. Ida, I depicted moments from a hybrid's life in it's natural habitat. The viewer, while engaged with the animation, must remain quiet and stationary so as not to disturb the hybrid. If it is disrupted or annoyed it may respond unexpectedly, perhaps violently.

In addition, the work is a way to examine the complex personality of a so-called hybrid monster and its capacity for good and evil.
