The Photographic Life & Times of....
Like a lot of people, I became interested in cameras as a child, but my ambition was to become a journalist. I developed a love of learning, travel, football and music, graduated and worked for ten years in Marketing, designing and formatting brochures and proposals.

It wasn't until 2004 that I decided I needed a new hobby, and that was photography. I bought a Minolta film camera (which I still keep for sentimental reasons!) and, at the same time, an opportunity with my employers came up. They wanted to promote myself as a people business, so with some paid-for training, could I start taking photos of them?

My first attempts were pretty basic, on black-and-white film, and progress was slow until I finally went digital and bought my Nikon D200. I began to learn more quickly and could become more creative, trying out new ideas more often.

In 2006, I started to get commissioned for external work and, in 2007, my employer entrusted me with taking studio shots of all its employees. In this year, I also had three photos published in the photographic press, the third being the winner of the Shoot the Front Cover competition for Photography Monthly.

After that, I decided to specialise, and I now shoot portraits and events for corporate clients, and branched out into fashion and beauty photography in 2010.

My event photographs had been published in the Camden & Islington Journal, Architects Journal and the BBC Sport Relief Mile web site. My corporate portraits appear on web sites, corporate brochures and other PR and marketing material.

In 2011, my objective is to work with lots of creative clients in both the business and fashion worlds. To be paid full-time to do something that gives me a lot of happiness and enables me to meet lots of people is what makes me a lucky and satisfied person today.
