I have 10+ years of experience focusing on UI and UX, including all phases of the design process: concept, wireframes, user-flows, use-case scenario development, sketching, prototyping, high-fidelity comp creation, redlines, design specification, and asset production.

I don't shy away from having an opinion, but I also don't shy away from being wrong when someone else has an idea that makes more sense than mine. I like making decisions based on data and research. I prefer to work with a team, rather than exclusively on my own, because I like the energy of bouncing ideas off of other people. Impromptu whiteboard sessions (with an ample supply of Post-It notes) are where awesome ideas happen.

While I have been working as a design recruiter for the past two years, I never stopped doing UI and UX design. I was hired as a subject-matter expert (SME) to recruit for the interactive design space, and it turns out that this is a pretty good way to stay current with industry trends! In particular, I am on the Board of Directors for Interact: Seattle’s Designer/Developer UX MeetUp, and in the past year I attended UX Week (San Francisco), An Event Apart (including the day-long mobile-focused workshop), and local UX and Design education events. I've been closely following the progression of media creation and consumption as technology keeps evolving. Seattle is very much on the forefront of these evolutions, and I would be so excited to be a part of that again in a hands-on way.
