David Méndez Alonso comes from a new generation of visual artists schooled and influenced by graphic design, giving a whole new insight in abstraction of shapes, color and ideas. Mendez Alonso seems to be the sum of several generations of interaction between art and design, from Swiss Style to Memphis, crossing roads with graffiti, american cartoons and current european trends in graphism and illustration.Being so young, Mendez has already showcased his work in several galleries such as DNA gallery in Berlin and more recently in the MUTT gallery in Barcelona, Spain.
