Iceberg Theory: Ming Island’s institution

Base on Ernest Hemingway’s Iceberg Theory, “the hard facts float above water, while the supporting structure, complete with symbolism, operates out-of-sight.” We have learnt to set up a starting point as what people see above water, then discover the deeper essence of the structure along with different points of view, offer practical design solutions where content and form are closely linked, in order to infuse/refuse an innovative soul and make it legible above water.
Perhaps it is kind of subjective, but we believe that better creative tactic would bring out more possibilities.

Catching big fish: Ming Island’s attitude

There's a famous novel "The old man and the sea" which written by Hemingway has become a spiritual perception of Ming Island; as the designers in Ming Island, who should never give up to catch better ideas whether it is hard or not. As well as fishermen do not catch big fish only to keep alive and to sell for food, but for pride because they are fishermen!
