Michael Gurau is a formerly California-based artist now residing in Overland Park, KS, who has worked in animation and the fine arts for over 15 years. He first studied at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) to study film/video. He then went on to work on projects such as Futurama, Family Guy, Baby Blues, and Looney Tunes Shorts. He also worked at Gentle Giant studios painting Toy Prototypes. He has worked extensively with model and toy prototypes, including production, color-matcing, and painting. He has amassed a collector base which includes Clive Barker–creator of the Hellraiser series, Jonathon Davis–singer for the metal band Korn, Charlie Benante–drummer for the metal band Anthrax, Marylin Manson, and actor Johnny Depp.
