Projects:

Macauley Residence, Austin, TX (under construction)
- Custom residential remodel of a stone and wood house in West Austin. The design expands and opens up the first floor plan and adds a second floor, screened in porch and exterior concrete porch with shower. Standing seam metal roof shed design on second level with south facing solar array, double gable roof to follow existing roof slope at first level. Roof design to include a 12,000 gallon water collection system, solar light tubes, custom walk-in pantry with upright freezer, expanded master bedroom with walk-in shower room and interior clerestory windows, and completely renovated and re-finished kitchen with black soap stone countertops, white-washed cabinets and white appliances.

Woodland Residence, Oklahoma City, OK (under construction)
- Custom residential remodel of 1930's stone house. Design expands and opens floor plan, removes the existing shingle roof and replaces it with a raised flat gravel roof with clerestory windows and custom structural truss design. Master bathroom with skylight ceiling, office with hidden bookcase door, and other built-in detailing.

University of Oklahoma Journalism Set Design, Norman, OK (completed)
- Set design and construction documents for news and weather studio set for the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma.

Getaway Motor Club Set Design, Austin, TX (completed)
- Design and build of a custom backdrop set of the Austin skyline, built into a stage and 24' "faux drive-in theater" projector screen and back-lit with florescent lights for a twilight setting during performances and movies.

Full structural engineering construction document sets on varying project scopes from Industrial facility storage racks, to residential home foundations, to a five four-story building apartment complex. Working directly with lead engineer mainly through emailed pdf markups, pdfs and dwgs from architect.

Assistant to artist, furniture designer and builder and contractor David Amdur. Work in wood shop building furniture, custom framing, hanging/rigging, art installation and handling, roofing, general construction, and creative art and sculpture creation.

Architectural design, drafting and 3D modeling focusing were Residential Architecture, Commercial Landscape Architecture and large scale urban design. Responsibilities, activities and programs used included Rhinoceros 5.0, Autocad Architecture 2014 2D and 3D, rendering with Rhino, Brazil and Autocad, Photoshop, Diagramming and Urban Design Guidelines using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, from concept design through Construction Documents, contract management, RFQs, sourcing materials and site visits.

Design build apprenticeship working directly for architect and contractor, in office and mostly in the field. Main project was the helping of the remodel construction of an historic house in Buda, Texas which was the focus of the HGTV show "My Big Family Rennovation". I worked an many different small projects throughout, but focusing mainly on the design and build of a triangular book nook made from 2x12's.

Intense design/build apprenticeship on Lake Isabella, California. Custom design and construction of modern efficiency lake house. Supervised 2 other people and managed subcontractors at times, learned administrative/client roles, budgets, contracts, permits, purchases, codes, and other processes, and worked in the field on custom finishes, designing detailing and connections and sourcing and material runs.

Construction documents, schematic design, 3D modeling and rendering and site visits, measuring and as-built floor plans on residential projects ranging in size and scope.

Student position in the dance and opera theater at the University of Oklahoma. Assistant to the house manager, set construction, hanging/cabling/focusing lights, crewing shows, sound board operator, and varying other duties.

Summer architecture firm internship while in school in Oklahoma. Office duties and responsibilities included Autocad drafting, specifications, red lines, research, and reflected ceiling layout and interior and exterior facade design.

In 2014 I created a blog for simply sharing art that I liked and steadily grew a following. In 2015 I began turning my simple blog into a comprehensive website dedicated to promoting, listing, and hosting my own visual art events in Austin, as well as providing a platform for local artists to sell their work. I also taught myself to code CSS, HTML and a little Javascript along the way in order to program an interactive map of galleries, museums and street art around the city.

Art focusing on using reclaimed materials and processes that mimic the scientific method to illustrate ideas of a wide array of scope and abstraction. Mediums used range from two-dimensional drawing and painting to semi-three-dimensional mixed media to furniture and large installations.

- Designed, built and supervised the construction of wooden display walls for an art exhibition with 25 artists, helped organize, promote, and displayed my own art at stop #58 of the East Austin Studio Tour 2013

- "Art for People who have to Pee" exhibition of my own custom art display on the wall of a local coffee shop for 6 months, placed perfectly for people in line for the bathroom.

Ooo Ahh Fest, Austin, TX
- Designed and organized the build of a stage with a custom art backdrop and helped curate and promote a small SXSW showcase.

Furniture
- Book Nook, made from 2x12 lumber and built-in to an historic house in Buda, Texas, which was the location for the HGTV series "My Big Family Rennovation" done as subcontractor for isArk Studio.
- Kit-of-Parts combination "L" bench and wine rack, made from reclaimed 2x4 and 1x2 lumber, designed and built to be easily constructed, de-constructed and moved.
- Record Player and vinyl storage unit, made from reclaimed 2x12 and 1x2 lumber and 3/8" plywood. Connections are tension/friction only (no glue, screws, or nails used)
- Bike Rack made from reclaimed 2x4 lumber with notched, adjustable members that use gravity and geometry to hold bicycles to frame. Frame itself is attached to screened in porch structure.
- Combination table, chair, and secret storage unit, made from reclaimed 2x4 lumber, fencing materials, 1x2 lumber, 1/8" plwood, and plexiglass, on caster wheels.
