I am a game artist from Berlin who is working on 3D and 2D art. I also have experience in web design, film editing, print design and photography. In 2006 I was in 10th grade and decided to participate in a student exchange program. I lived in Indiana for about 10 months. In the American high school I attended advanced 2D art, computer repair and CAD courses.
In this time I started to learn how to work with AutoCAD, and got in touch with portrait drawing and acrylic painting. In 2007 I went back to Germany and changed from a regular high school to a high school of design and multimedia.
There I worked with several 2D and 3D programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, After Effects, 3Ds Max, zBrush, FinalCut, Cinema 4D. I also attended courses in photography, film cutting and direction, web design and programming flash games in action script. In June 2008 I did an exhibition with acrylic and oil paintings.
After graduation in August of 2009 I started a four week traineeship at House of Tales, a game developer studio from Bremen and created animations with 3Ds MAX and designed textures in Photoshop. Besides that, I tested games and helped mending errors and general bugfixing.
In September 2009 I began studying Game Design at the Qantm institute in Berlin and finished my diploma of Interactive Entertainment in early 2011. To achieve this, I attended classes in image processing, storytelling, character design, animal anatomy, environmental design, architecture, level design, stage design, storyboard design, film cutting, direction, audio basics, special effects, 3D modeling (texturing, digital sculpting, topology) and 3D animation (character animation, particle systems, MEL- scripting, fluid simulations) and 3D rendering (lighting, mental ray, toon shading).
In April 2011 I started the second year at the Qantm Institute to get the B.A. Interactive Animation and will finished it in December 2012. This last year I got taught in several topics like Marketing, didactic, project management, business, accounting, game testing, journalism. In 2011 I attended a trainee ship at Basilbox GmbH in Berlin for about six months on the game social game Clubbox. In this trainee ship I was responsible for these following tasks: Game design, interface design, object Design (3D and vector), 3D to vector-animation Rendering, game testing, character animation and design, webdesign, community management (setting up the forum) and marketing.
