a creative copywriter (english-arabic), born and raised in alexandria, egypt. upon graduation from marketing in 2010, i joined greenmedia advertising as a copywriter.

in alexandria the advertising field is different. agencies rely on graphic designers for the copywriting work, but greenmedia had a unique approach: i was hired to be the first copywriter in alexandria. this was a tremendous challenge; not only did I need to impress clients with a creative idea, but i also needed to team up with team members who had never interacted with a copywriter. the experience bolstered my communication and personal skills, and rendered me able to multi-task and work with a variety of different clients.

i’m familiar with: brand identity (brand name, slogan, brand positioning)-360 campaigns - tv ads - radio ads - print ads - outdoor - direct marketing (my favorite) - ambient - digital - events - activation.

i believe good copywriters must have 3 characteristics: first he or she must be able to analyze the brief and brainstorm relevant concepts. they must think both verbally and visually, and they must be able to effectively communicate their unique ideas to the client.

i believe a brand is like a person. It is born (brand identity) with unique characteristics (brand personality), dresses in suits (brand image), makes connections (brand association), and of course communicates (advertising) and as everyone knows, the best way to communicate is on a personal level
