Mayra Monobe is a Japanese-Brazilian graphic designer and illustrator born in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2005 she moved to Sydney, Australia, where she got her Bachelor in Graphic Design from the Billy Blue College of Design. At that time, Mayra won the Hulsbosch Scholarship and worked as an intern at Hulsbosch Communications and also received the 'Green Carrot Award for Consistent Creative Excellence' from Billy Blue.
After graduating, she started working at The Creative Method, where she stayed for 3 years doing Packaging, Branding and Print.
She is currently living and working from Barcelona, where she studied a Master's Degree at Elisava School of Design and Engineering. While studying, she collaborated with the graphic design studios Talking, Eumogràfic and ClaseBcn.
Her work has been recognized and published by Pentawards, Graphis, AGDA Australian Graphic Design Association, Create Awards, PieBooks, Rockport Publishers, TheDieline, LovelyPackage, UnderConsideration, among others. Read Less
