Matthew Rowean’s career has been defined by a blend of drive, ambition, and creative talent. As an entrepreneur, designer, and artist, he was the founder and initial creative vision to RJW Collective.

After moving to NYC in 2004 Matthew quickly accumulated a large and prestigious client roster primarily in the luxury and hospitality space. This landed his in house position as the Senior Art Director of Track Entertainment. At Track Matthew directed such projects as stage design for the Pepsi Smash Tour with Kanye West & Christina Aguilera.

Only six months into his position at Track, he was approached by a premier non-traditional marketing agency Strategic Group (“SG”). Challenged with developing a full creative department and expanding their services beyond nontraditional marketing and production he took the helm of Creative Director.

During his three years at SG, Matthew transformed the company from an agency with no creative services into a dynamic multi-faceted marketing firm with creative billings from Mercedes Benz, Coke, LVMH, Reebok and other high profile clients.

Matthew left SG to achieve the goal of owning his own company by the age of 25. In June of 2008, he partnered with William Doug Jacob and founded Rowean Design, LLC, the forerunner of RJW Collective. In 2009 Matthew And Doug brought on their third partner Charlie Walk, former president of Epic Records and RJW Collective was born. In the two years since its inception RJW has grown from a boutique agency to a multi-dimensional firm working with brands such as lacoste, david yurman, equinox and many more.

In 2011 Rowean decided to branch out once again and re-focus his direction specifically on select creative projects and a higher dedication to fine arts.

As an accomplished artist he has exhibited work in several shows including 3 years as a committee member for the Art Rocks foundation to support the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center.
