I am a Designer by profession, a problem solver by passion and a printmaker by hobby. I recently completed my MFA in the Graphic Design Program at SCAD, where my thesis research focused on visual communication problems in the plastic recycling system.
Prior to my graduate work, most of my professional design experience fell in the realm of publishing. I also produced a good deal of music-industry-related-client work such as CD and LP packaging, posters, t-shirts, front-end web design, etc. In my time at SCAD, I developed a heightened interest in multi-disciplinary work, branching away from Graphic Design classes to take Interaction Design and Design Management courses. These experiences gave me a revelatory awareness of working in these environments as a graphic designer as well as a design research methodology that I believe holds great potential in Graphic-Design-related fields.
In the future, I am interested in working in an environment that pushes me creatively and conceptually as a designer, but also allows me grow as a thinker and researcher. Read Less
