Marvin Bratke is German architect and designer, currently based in Munich and Berlin. He has received his diploma in architecture top of the semester at Fritz Frenkler’s chair of industrial design at Technical University of Munich [TUM] in June 2011. His ongoing research and design ambitions are focused on emergent technologies in architecture and industrial design, the digital methodology relating both professions and their application in performance-orientated, mobile and ecological building systems. Since January 2012 Marvin is working as Design Architect and Assistant Project Manager at LAVA [Laboratory for Visionary Architecture], a young international architectural practice based in Sydney, Shanghai, Stuttgart, Berlin and Abu Dhabi, which was established as a network of creative minds, exploring frontiers that merge future technologies with the patterns of organisation found in nature. In the office, Marvin is working on several projects of various scales and sectores in Germany, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands focusing on cultural, transportation and office projects as well as advanced façade design and fabrication. His creations and ideas are greatly influenced by cultural, biological and technological environment with social aspects of 21st century context. Read Less
