I began my career as a one-person videographer, journalist, producer and editor in small town television stations. I had an innate curiosity about things and an equally imaginative mind that made me, after some years digging in the field and learning how to compose a shot in a frame, also became a skilled writer and editor.
Working at a TV station, I became fascinated with 'Quantel' Paintboxes and motion graphics. At the same time I acquired alpha versions of Illustrator and Photoshop and this was a transformative experience. I wanted to become a graphic designer, a broadcast designer and a graphic artist. The Macintosh, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator all made that possible, along with taking classes, teaching and learning at many trade shows, industry conferences and visits to quite a few mentors. Now, many years later, I'm a freelance designer and an artist, photographer and a writer. Read Less
