MAY 2013 Mark Blane & The Rock & The Ripe present a workshop/performance at TYA/USA's One Theatre World Festival in Cleveland, Ohio.

APRIL 2013 Dissention, 1977 ( a new play ) has a staged reading at The Drucker Center in Chicago. The play explores a young journalist living in Chicago in the 1970's. Gay aversion therapy, Anita Bryant, anti-war riots, and paranoia are the main characters.

JUNE 2012 The Rock & The Ripe world premiere book and play open in Chicago.

OCT 2011 Mark just returned to the USA (moving to Chicago) after 9 months in London. He worked as an assistant at a modern art gallery in Stockwell, then was hired to direct a play at an international festival in the East of England. Following that, he travelled to Edinburgh, Scotland with an original devised play about immigration in America. It was also played on a beach in the East of England. Read Less

In May 2011, he was commissioned by AldeburghART Festival in Suffolk, England to direct Pablo Picasso's rare play "Desire Caught by the Tail" that was translated from French into English by Roland Penrose.
