Mark Andrew Large is a photojournalist, visual artist and rock climber based in Knoxville, Tenn. Mark has been drawing and painting since childhood and began taking pictures in 2005. Currently, he is a staff photographer for The Daily Times in Maryville, Tennessee and climbing instructor at The Climbing Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mark also does a variety of freelance work. The photojournalist’s passion for climbing is a perfect fit, as well. Mark’s photography is aimed on telling a story by showing the beauty of the life that he encounters with his camera. His work has been featured in "Stone Fort Bouldering" and “The Obed: A Climbers Guide To The Wild and Scenic” published by Greener Grass Publishing. He received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Media Technologies with a concentration in photography from Pellissippi State Technical Community College. Mark has also won numerous awards in journalism from the Tennessee AP Managing Editors, Tennessee Press Association and Society of Professional Journalists. Read Less
