I am currently studying honours in visual arts (sculpture) at ANU, and have just graduated from a bachelor of visual arts (textiles). I am a sculptural basket weaver; the materials I use are a vital part of my art practice. I work intuitively with the materials allowing them to direct me. The materials have ranged from stockings, yoga mat, paper, metal, leather to others such as horsehair & bones, rope and tubing. Form fascinates me; I am drawn to fluid and organic shapes. Basketry techniques create lines, which guide the eye around the form highlighting its curves. Read Less
