I had been a painter (and snapshooter) for over 10 years when I finally restarted photography in 2008. Trying to find a “serious” and more conceptual way between art and documentation since then.

Focus on places
Ordinary and barren places, „every-day-places“, that one’s passing without regarding - is there more behind the simple outward appearance? A kind of beauty of ugliness maybe? And what do they become when they lose their function - even just temporarily?
What happens to abandoned places and spaces? What remains of them after they have been shut down?
The outcome of this are often documentations of drabness and emptiness.

And generally a view on how people arrange private and public surroundings.
