Maarten Deckers is a graphic designer with a design studio in Leuven (Belgium) and a love for typography, color, simplicity and structure.

After graduating from the Artevelde College in Ghent he started working for Clavis , a publisher of children’s books and young adult novels with offices in Hasselt, Amsterdam and New York, in 2002. In order to develop further creatively, he also started freelancing in 2007. In 2010, he finally went his own way and opened a design studio to passionately engage in the design of book covers, books, magazines, logos, corporate branding and all kinds of printed material alternated by the occasional website or photography assignment.

Much of his work is characterized by a fresh and playful style. He likes pouring the stories of his clients into a colourful form with great attention to detail and structure. The result is always a testament to his love of typography and simplicity and meets the specific content of the story that needs to be told.

In his spare time he likes to surround himself with photography, design and art, he likes to play around with type, a screen printing press and collages, explores the world with his Fuji camera and shares his experiences on various social media.
