Daniela Izaguirre is a Peruvian artist from the city of Lima in the coast of Peru. Her nomadic spirit lead her to SCAD, where she started as an illustration artist and later explored different fields and media, such as theater, production design, ceramics, sculpture and painting.
She is exploring the poetic potential of objects and people by using multimedia elements, gathering information, materials, emotions and beauty, and weaving and unweaving metaphors into her art. Daniela is exploring with the possibilities of graphite drawing and photo/video experimentation, letting both media interact and dialogue with each other.
In 2007 she obtained her Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma and in 2008 she was awarded with the Frances Larkin McCommon Scholarship to attend SCAD. Her long-term goal is to create an intercultural center and café, where people can meet in a positive environment to share and gain a sense of value of the elegance and dignity of the human person.
