About
I'm an art historian, specializing in the history of picture frames; I research and write about frames and art, and have had books, articles and essays published.
I'm also an artist; my preferred media are coloured pencils, pencils and pen-&-ink. I've exhibited with The Pastel Society and the Society of Botanical Artists.
I clean and restore oil paintings (19th century onwards), and can point you in the right direction if you have earlier works which need conserving.
I review books, and write and publish poetry: I've had work in various periodicals, have won and been placed in various poetry competitions, and have just published my first two collections (2011).
