Paper City

This is a city that I constructed out of paper. I went with a garden / greenhouse theme. Along with the city I designed a booklet that consists all the diagrams so other people can assemble it as well.

Time Life Book "The Forest" redesign (process)

{ in progress }
The assignment is to re-design two chapters from a Time Life Book from the 1960's. My given topic is "The Forest". I must say that the original book it pretty stark and makes the forest look boring. So! My ultimate goal is to make my version of the book more engaging, yet still remain informative to the viewer. This is not my final book, its only the process I've designed thus far. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Symbol Construction

These are symbols done in two letter arrangements. Instead of just jumping on the computer right away, I drafted a variety of letter combinations by hand. Once I felt like I had a good variety, I scanned the symbols onto the computer and added line weight, color, contrast, and added elements.

These are some explorations using handmade stencils, acrylic paint, spray paint, cardboard, and cut paper. It was fun to get off the computer/experiment with other medias...and of course get a little messy!
