I love throwing clay. In 2002 I took my first class at Springfield Pottery and my teachers were fantastic. Nathan and Jen Falter taught me the basics of wheel throwing and hand building. I kept taking classes and still enjoy them to this day.
I use organic colors and forms found in nature. The glazes have a certain look that reminds me of this. I'm also a tactile artist. The designs are influenced by how they feel in my hands. I like the look of old things—antiques.
Today, I work part time in my home studio where I also create other forms of art such as jewelry and decorative pieces. With the encouragement of my family and friends I have been selling my work online, attending events and festivals. Read Less
