My name is Li Smith aka Liane Dutilleux. Born in Luxembourg and raised on a farm in South Africa, I studied art at the Johannesburg School of Art and earned a National Teachers' Diploma (ART). I paint figurative paintings in an expressive, post modernist style. I was a commissioned and exhibiting artist at the Everard Read Gallery in Johannesburg from 1992 - 2002. Painting commissions include large oils for client Sun International (Carnival City), theme painting entitled 'Child of the Gods' for TV series 'Suburbian Bliss'-- Producer Gray Hofmeyr. "Woman of the Year' portrait of Saira Essa for the Star Newspaper.
Awarded Kara Art Silver Award (2002) for Logo piece, 'African Renaissance'.
