Post No Bills! (Posters)

A collection of four posters with the message "post no bills" in four different languages.

Each of the four designers from our studio has chosen a color of recycled paper, a language and has designed a purely typographic poster. These posters were lately freely distributed among the visitors at Designblok 2008 (Prague Design Week). A free project of our studio.

Martin Vácha / German (Plakatieren verboten) / Green

For his poster Martin has redesigned a Tomas Brousil's typeface - Orgovan to remind of the Bavarian aesthetics. Orgovan is Martin's favorite typeface and has become his "footprint" in a sense.

Zuzana Kubíková / English (Post No Bills) / Yellow

Zuzana has designed a very minimalist poster. She used the usual space for copyright and name of the studio and or author for the main message. This Poster "fighting" against the other posters is blank but still very vivid. Imagine a large space all covered in yellow paper with a little message on a side.

Braňo Matis / French (Défense d'afficher) / Pink

At first glance a very elegant romantic line which, when closely looked at reminds of an excrement. This is how it sometimes goes with empty ornaments. This poster can be turned upside down and still works.

David Březina / Czech (Plakátování zakázáno) / Grey

David has designed his poster the same way as any casual owner of a garage who does not want any posters on the garage door would design it. This imaginary person would typically open Microsoft Word, choose "a nice" typeface
(Comic Sans would do) and would not forget to add exclamation marks and some effects.
