Ever since the days of high school I've known my fantasy job was in the artistic arena. Specifically, dreams of graphic design. During my junior year at Mountain View High, the Idaho Ride Shop was on the lookout for a company design to utilize and asked all neighboring high school artists to insert submissions. I decided to give it a shot and to my surprise, Idaho Ride Shop made my design their business emblem! Since then, I've viewed graphic design as one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received and the requests came pouring in. Anything from tattoo designs to new business logos: I've been busying my hands with it all!

In college, I've had many great opportunities to expand my taste and knowledge in design. I was able to work for a custom sticker shop that allowed me to create using their graphic design program; I’ve produced five Boise local artist album covers (Versailles, Adam Stip, My Paper Camera, and Alligator Weapon), and put together wedding invitations. I am also currently creating Marketing and Poster Designs for my employer, Bodies In Motion, another local business. Without my magnificent professors and designers (Jennifer Wood & John Francis) who trained me in the arts, my distinguished fellow classmates who provided invaluable positive assessment, or my friend’s incredible support , I probably wouldn’t be following my passion as an artist.

I have countless goals I would love to achieve in the graphic design field and I aim to accomplish them all. It is my hope and dream to start in an internship position with a well-known design firm where I can gain more experience and knowledge. I understand that this field can be tremendously difficult and aggressive. I know things typically never go as planned and recognize all the ups and downs that inevitably come with the job. However, as an artist, graphic design has been such a blessing to me and so rewarding. I receive such joy from designing that the bumpy road before me is more than worth it. Read Less
