In 2008, I graduated from the Saint-Petersburg State University of Cinema and Television where I made my Bachelor of Arts in Computer Graphic and Animation. My specialization is in computer animation and graphic design. I participated in several international movie and cartoon festivals such as “Cinemadamare” and “Piterkit” with my animation projects.
After my time at the university, I tried myself in freelance graphic design and Flash animation in cooperation with photo banks. In 2009, I started as a Game Artist at Dnevnik.ru, an educational school project, which also had a side business in casual games. Among my responsibilities there were concept art, character design, Flash animation and UI. It was my first experience in the gaming industry, which determined my future way of professional development.
My next job I got in 2010 at Creat Studio Inc. as a Flash UI Artist, where I was working on the social game project "Neversky" for which I was providing graphic assets, Flash files, UI related animations. I was able to gain new knowledge about Flash library organization, creating graphics in Flash, as well as learn about useful collaboration skills with the in-house developers. During this project, I also had the opportunity to study the production "kitchen" from the inside, which helped me a lot in the future.
In 2011, I moved to Berlin, Germany. I continued working on a freelance-basis with my Russian customers. One of the remarkable tasks I received in that time was working on the UI for one of new projects of Pixonic studio.
In the beginning of 2012, I started my internship in the German game studio Multiverso to improve my language knowledge and integrate better into German society. There, I worked on story boards, animatic and Flash animations, character design and layouts.
In May 2012, I started to work at Crowdpark Entertainment GmbH as a Game Artist. Crowdpark works on social casino games, releasing its projects on Facebook and mobile devices. My responsibilities were spread on different tasks such as graphical assets for new slot machine games, UI concepts, animated videos, and Flash animations. Since February 2013, I got promoted to Senior Game Artist, which gave me the possibility to widen my responsibilities and get more interesting tasks in character animation, special effects via Adobe After Effects, providing final renders combined with sounds, technical support for the art team, in terms of collaboration with the development department, and solving technical work flow issues.
Working in an international team, I do my best to continue to develop my professional and communicative skills, get better in the European way of working in the gaming industry, collect experience and share my knowledge. Read Less
