Quorum

Quorum is a multidisciplinary art magazine covering literature, theory, music and visual arts. Because this is a cult art magazine in Croatia it was a really challenge to do the redesign.
There were several demands for the redesign - one of them was that the magazine must be small sized and that it is printed just in one color (except the cover). I decided to do it just in black and white with the havy black&white contrasts. In that time there was a lot of talking about The Helvetica movie and that was somehow my tribute to the NH.
For the headings, footnotes and bibliography i used Helvetica Neue and for the main body text Garamond Premier Pro because I wanted it to have the ease of reading and also it's a very beautiful type, with some excellent ligatures. For every issue we invite some talented young photographer to be the guest and we publish his photos. We publish 5 issues trough year, and the number of pages vary form 240 to 300.
I'm not shure if this is too much of the shots but I couldn't resist because I'm enjoying to work with type on every page:)
