Fermentation can produce some wonderful things. Wine and chocolate are testament to this, but I don’t intend to stop at fermentation. I want to putrefy every painting I touch. Beyond simply going sour it will decay and often be filled with something vile. Each character in my world began as a beautiful creation deemed too bland, and by now has advanced to some form of decay – Every character but Nefaswrythen – The ringleader of this decay, the leader of a parasitic infection. Whether that decay makes something more or less beautiful is up to those around it. Besides, what defines the line between normal and decay in a world already filled with it?

I’m a student currently studying a Bachelor of New Media Arts at James Cook University, Townsville. I’m majoring in Digital Visual art and am also studying New Media Design. Read Less
