I am a jewelry designer and tutor with 15 years of experience, based in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I mostly design jewelry and larger art objects. I gradually developed through the years from creating small, wearable art to larger, theatrical objects. (see www.karin.nl).

I was able to present and sell my work in various art galleries in Holland, Europe and The US. Some of my works have been acquired by museums, like the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Montrel, Canada. amongst others.

Besides this, I provide workshops and masterclasses 'jewelry making'. (see www.samensmeden.nl). I love to work with people from all walks of life. I worked with groups in Australia in 2007 and 2009 (with TAFTA) and South Africa (students and street workers in Cape Town), amongst many others. With Rene Vlasblom, I developed and presented a television program on jewelry making, nationally broadcasted by TELEAC.
