Hakim Callier
Hakim Callier is a recordist and mixing engineer; a musician and music producer living in Harlem, NY.

Hakim worked in his father's recording studio for many years throughout his childhood and adolescence, then gained his theoretical knowledge of recording, mixing and mastering at New York's acclaimed, Institute of Audio Research. He quickly put this knowledge to use on his own album projects in the late 1990's.

Hakim has been producing music recordings for over 20 years. He graduated from Jefferson High School, a performing arts high school in Portland, Oregon and was active in the high school's television production program. Then Hakim spent the next 2 years on the road; recording and developing his first album, "Somebody's Watching Me", produced by Ben Willis (DJ Massey) of Rawkus Records (1997).

In 2001, after finishing his untitled second album, Hakim took a hiatus from the business of music and recording. He attended New York University in pursuit of a BS in Information Technology.

Hakim works in the heart of Harlem, New York, making compositions for content producers and music libraries. Hakim is currently producing several album projects and freelancing as a recording/mixing engineer.
