Julien Vallée is a Montreal based director and designer.
Since 2006, Vallée has been working in a broad range of fields including motion design, art direction and installation, creating a body of work mostly revolving around playfulness and experimentation. Along the way, he has been directing handcrafted stop-motion openings for the The New York Times, flying objects for Google, pink explosions for MTV-Hits, cell phone deconstructions for Nokia and celebrating the EURO 2012 for Coca Cola.
Vallée has also been commissioned to create artwork covers for design magazines & books such as the Handmade vs Digital Computer Arts issue, the Handy Graphics issue for Idn or Tangible High-touch visuals by Gestalten. One of his paper sculpture exhibited in Zurich for Illustrative 2009 was also used as the key visual of Swatch Artists Collection. In 2010, he was invited by Aol to be part of their selection of artists and commissioned to create 2 exclusive artworks for their brand.
In December 2011, Vallée released Rock,Paper, Scissors – The Work of Julien Vallée with German publisher Gestalten. Read Less
