I suspect that art, as a form of expression, is as old and primal as drawing in the dusty earth with a stick.

I look for the beauty of shapes that are unique, specific and complete. With this approach, I'm happy to paint anything that inspires me. You complete my paintings when you see them and respond. I love this collaboration.

My lifelong love of music, art and theater work together like a conductor tapping her baton or a director calling "Action" - and then the music of art begins.

As I begin a painting, a partnership develops between the canvas, the paint and me. Once I'm satisfied with the structure of the block-in, I begin working the shapes from large to small. At times I feel more like an architect; designing and building or an archeologist; exploring and digging around to uncover the hidden. Creation and destruction work hand in hand - the one needs the other.

A Colorado native, Judith lives and works in Centennial, Colorado with family and friends near by. She began painting in oils when she was 16 after a trip to Central Mexico. After college she worked in acrylics. Later, in 2007, she returned to her love of oils after a successful career as a Learning Consultant. Her paintings have been shown in Colorado at: The University of Denver Herschfeld Gallery in the Chambers Center, The Lone Tree Arts Center, The Madden Museum of Art, Curtis Arts and Humanities Center, Core Art Space and Next Gallery and are held in private collections.
