After a successful career at the fashion industry, where Juan worked closely with both fashion and commercial photography (dealing with advertising campaigns, events, fashion shows and public relations) as brand/marketing manager for brands such Levi's, Girbaud, Unlimited, Budweiser, adidas, Giorgio Capriani and Best Woman, Juan Carlos just re-encounters his passion after a long break.

To keep up with new technologies, he studies at the New York Institute of Photography to ensure that his knowledge is not limited by the advanced state of the art in the digital age. Disassociating definitively of his "not artsy" life and surrounding his 40 years old, Juan chose to take his mother's maiden name -as a tribute to her willingness on creative driving Juan from an early age-, to re-invent himself and start a new path of creation and contribution to the visual arts , this time behind the lens of fashion, portrait and glamour photography, without neglecting his personal projects related to fine art and erotic photography.

Juan demonstrates how much he loves the art and craft of photography by standing loyal to his philosophy: photography must capture and tell a true instant that occurred spontaneously or was created at any given time and place, so his personal work and much of the commercial one minimizes or even avoids digital manipulation that (according to his opinion) misrepresents what his lenses capture.
