Jordi Pla was born in Barcelona on 20 of April of 1979. He studied product design in "Escola EINA" (Barcelona) graduating in 2003. In the same year he studied the master Digital Design 3D in "Escola ELISAVA" (Barcelona). In 2011, he studied the course of Art and Design in "St. Martins School” (London).

When he finished his studies, he carried out several collaborations in different studios of recognized national and international prestige in product design, as of the designers Mrs. Gemma Bernal and Mr. André Ricard. He has also collaborated in several companies of consultancy and implementation of projects of R+D+i. After this term, he initiates in collaboration with other’s professionals the creation of various personalize projects, as studio 314 or PLA&FANTOBA S.L.

Is during the year 2011, when the studio PLA&FANTOBA S.L. realized a change in its internal organization, moment that he decides to continue with the activities through with the corporate name JORDI PLA STUDIO S.L.

His method of creation is based in his sensibility to discover new concepts and defragment it for make a new concept differentiated with a solid idea that endows with value-added to the product, for its functionality and language.
Likewise, the projects are carried out with the mission of endowing the product, this cause being the cornerstone that satisfies the needs and concerns of all his customers.
His point of view does not understand about borders between functionality and formalization, to his judgment the product has to obtain the following capacities: functionality, formality, feasibility, innovation, respect for the natural-environment, thus adapting to the values of his customers.
Understanding the needs for the customer, market and the current industry, to innovate in order to evolve the process of creation of the products, is the justification and vocation of the study. Read Less
