JP is a passionate artist with a no holds barred attitude towards creativity. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Visual Communication from the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts, and there he was awarded with the Best Thesis recognition in his college. Since his early days as a professional creative, he has been highly recognized in the Philippine advertising scene, and that's just rightly so; as he is a two-time Philippine representative to the prestigious Cannes Young Lions International Advertising Festival.

Despite his hectic schedule as a Associate Creative Director in an ad agency, he still manages to pursue non-advertising endeavors: Pop Art. These artworks made it to the pages of esteemed publications such as Rogue Magazine, Pulp Magazine, The Philippine Daily Inquirer, Sunday Inquirer Magazine, and Adobo Magazine.

JP's biggest contribution to art are his posters. In fact, due to his unique gig poster-crafting style, he had been commissioned by reputable brands like Puma, Asia Brewery, Manila Beer, Bench clothing, and Artworks clothing company. He also made concert posters for both Filipino (Parokya ni Edgar, Rico Blanco, Razorback) and international bands (Mr. Big, Lymbic System, Addison Groove, Doshy, Asking Alexandria). JP currently wishes to make one for The Beatles, and he's patiently waiting for John Lennon and George Harrison to come back to life.

Perhaps his most acclaimed masterpiece was his movie poster design for the Cinemalaya 2011 Best Picture and the Philippines’ only representative to the Oscars: “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” (The Lady in the Septic Tank).

JP held his first solo exhibit entitled "GIGZILLA”, which featured his original gig poster works. It was held in May 2010 at Pablo Gallery, Cubao X, one of the most renowned art hotspots in Manila. Also, his latest exhibit was a sold-out success highlighted by a wild demand—from celebrities and politicians, no less—for his sculpture “Rizalborg”: a cyborg representation of Jose Rizal, the Philippine National Hero.

Having a penchant for blending popular culture to traditional Filipino nuances. He spearheaded a group of artist to produce the online animation “Captain Barangay Captain”, which parodies well-known superheroes as characters in Philippine society. JP is also half the group that produces the underground comics sensation “PUNNX COMIX”.
