I'm living and working in San Diego, behind the veneer of this self-titled "America's Finest City." I've done tours of duty in small and large creative and advertising agencies, including running my own shop for seven years. Disney, Universal Studios, Taco Bell and Lincoln/Mercury have been among my clients, though most are clients you've never heard of. Since 2006 I've been at JAG, a small agency that actually embraces its smallness. No AE's here, us creatives work directly with the client, and I like that.
These days I get as much out of the strategy of design and communications as I do from the process of creativity itself, and I have an on-going love/hate relationship with the tension between digital and analog. My current dysfunctional infatuation is with Instagram and my vintage 1963 Polaroid 100 Land Camera.
Like so many creatives, I started out as a fine artist, drawing and sculpting mostly, and daydream about what it would be like to create art once again. Okay, so I do paint and draw a now and then, but mostly I dream about it. Read Less
