Joe Sorren was born, odd but true, inside of a suitcase factory. Not inside of a suitcase, mind you; but a suitcase factory in Chicago, Illinois in 1970. As what often happens to children who are born, Joe learned to read and spell and things of those natures. Sorren’s hobbies include running and jumping, he also likes to spit in the wind. He has two super-cool children, Martha and Henry. He also has a half-way decent collection of Dynamite Magazine posters that range from issue #3 (Robin Williams as Mork) to issue #7 (Jessica Lange as Mork's dentist). "Actually that is not true, I don't have the Jessica Lange poster anymore, not since the 2003 incident at Pay-n'-Take in Flagstaff, Arizona" Sorren woefully remarks.

Sorren grew up around Phoenix and later Flagstaff, Arizona and started painting in 1991. His paintings have won numerous awards and have appeared in publications such as Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times and The Atlantic Monthly. His work has been featured in NBC’s “ER”, motion picture “Penelope” and by Warner Brothers, Fox and Atlantic Records.

Sorren’s first solo exhibition was in 1995, since then he has exhibited in galleries in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. His work is held in collections worldwide, including those of Courtney Cox/David Arquette, Patricia Arquette, and Nike Brand President Mark Parker.
